<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve detecting precision when detecting a region including a portion of an object included in image data. <P>SOLUTION: This image processor is configured to repeat processing for acquiring the map of score values where information of score values relating to such a level that each of unit regions included in image data is included in a region under consideration are associated with the positions of the unit regions in the image data, and for making a temporary region arrangement part 24 arrange a temporary region on the map of the score values, and for making a region under consideration detection part 25 change the position of the temporary region on the basis of the distribution of the score values of the temporary region, and processing for changing the rate of the length of the predetermined direction of the temporary region to a direction orthogonal to the predetermined direction on the basis of the position of the unit region included in the region adjacent to the temporary region and the score values, and to output the temporary region satisfying predetermined conditions as a region under consideration. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
