<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image data search device which does not need to manually add keywords for a group photograph, a portrait or a scenery or the like to image data. <P>SOLUTION: The image data search device is equipped with; a processor 100; a person search units 101 connected to the processor 100 respectively; a registration unit 103; and a display unit 106. The processor 100 is equipped with a person detection unit 104, an image data management unit 105 and a keyword management unit 102 mutually connected in series. Even if a user does not register a keyword clearly in registering the image, the keyword is automatically attached by recognizing the number of persons or the like in the image and the user can search the image by the keyword.
