PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic gear shift mechanism of a running vehicle capable of releasing and letting in a hydraulic clutch with excellent response property when performing gear shift operation of a gear type transmission automatically by operating a hydraulic cylinder by a solenoid valve for gear shift. SOLUTION: This hydraulic gear shift mechanism of the running vehicle capable of automatically releasing and letting in the hydraulic clutch 1 and performing gear shift operation of the gear type transmissions 3, 6 by switching solenoid valves 41, 42, 43, 44, 46 for gear shift and operating the hydraulic cylinders 37, 38, 39 based on gear shift commands to change running speed is provided with a control means 50 for switching a change-over valve 56 of the hydraulic clutch 1 by an electromagnetic proportional pressure control valve 54 based on gear shift commands to release the hydraulic clutch 1 and controlling the electromagnetic proportional pressure control valve 54 based on completion of gear shift operation of the gear type transmissions 3, 6 to let in the hydraulic clutch 1.
