PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that even when movement of a conveyor belt is controlled by using a plurality of different kinds of encoder outputs, in the case when the conveyor belt is stretched and contracted by changing in temperature, accuracy for controlling is decreased. SOLUTION: Based on respective output signals and correlated relations between respective output signals of a linear encoder 401 constituted of a linear scale 231 and an encoder sensor 232 formed on the conveyor belt 31 and a rotary encoder 402 constituted of a code wheel 137 provided on the shaft 32a of a conveyor roller 32 and an encoder sensor 138, a sub-scanning motor 131 is driven and controlled. The temperature of the conveyor belt 31 is detected by a temperature sensor 234, and the amount L of movement per pulse of the linear encoder 401 is operated by a movement amount operating part 411 in accordance with the detected temperature, and the amount L of the movement in accordance with this temperature is reflected to the amount of controlling to the sub-scanning motor 131.
