PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abrasion resistant composite liner which can relax thermal stress even when the thickness of an abrasion resistant layer is increased and secure impact resistance without spoiling abrasion resistance. SOLUTION: Hard layers 21 and soft layers 22 are laminated alternately on a substrate 10 and they are joined together by HIP treatment to form the abrasion resistant layer 20. The hard layer 21 is formed by arranging a plurality of hard materials 21a. The overlap position between the hard materials 21a in each hard layer 21 is shifted from the overlap position between the hard materials 21a in the hard layer 21 immediately over or under the above hard layer 21.
