PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder comprising an application part which can prevent excessive transfer of a processing liquid to an application roller that comes into contact with an absorptive member, and which enables controlling of a transfer amount and can properly control a feeding amount of the processing liquid to the application roller by a simple and inexpensive constitution by utilizing a capillary force of the absorptive member to make the processing liquid absorbed. SOLUTION: The application roller 22 which comes into contact with a recording medium 13, and the absorptive member 51 which comes into contact with the application roller are provided in the recorder. The absorptive member is formed by an aggregate of polypropylene fibers. Feeding of the processing liquid to the application roller is carried out by transfer of the processing liquid absorbed in the absorptive member to the application roller.
