<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas generator for an air bag with high damp-proof property. <P>SOLUTION: A first igniter collar 26 is pressed/fixed from above by a first support member 30. The first igniter collar 26 is calked at an outer side bottom surface 13b of a housing. The housing bottom surface 13a has a first annular groove 33 and a fixing material 34 is filled in the first annular groove 33.
