PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable communication in a sub-net by ensuring a communication route between hosts or between a host in a loop sub-net and a host outside the loop sub-net even when an L2 loop (broadcast storm) occurs. SOLUTION: A communication control method recovers communication failure caused by a packet loop occurring due to erroneous connection of an L2 level in a relay switch, in a communication system in which transmission and reception of data are performed between a plurality of end hosts connected to the relay switch in the sub-net. This method continuously transmits a long-size MAC packet which is destined to a broadcast MAC address or a multicast MAC address and is longer than a packet having generated the packet loop into the sub-net, thereby stopping the packet loop.
