PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fixing unit which can be made smaller in size. SOLUTION: The fixing unit 100 is equipped with a heating roller 110, a pressure roller 120 which is arranged to face the heating roller 110 and is energized toward the heating roller 110 side, and a unit case 130 which rotatably supports both ends in the longitudinal direction of the heating roller 110, opens the pressure roller 120 side of the heating roller 110, and covers the side reverse from the pressure roller 120 of the heating roller 110. The fixing unit is provided with a pair of pressure roller supports 150, 151 which are respectively supported on both sides in the longitudinal direction of the unit case 130, and rotatably support the end of the pressure roller 120. Also, the unit case 130 is provided with first end covers 134, 135 which cover the end in the longitudinal direction of the heating roller 110 except apertures 134a, 135a formed on the pressure roller 120 side, and the pressure roller supports 150, 151 are provided with second end covers 154, 155 which cover the apertures 134a, 135a of the first end covers 134, 135.
