PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent sedimentation of charged particles when an image is displayed after the image is formed and to perform stable display in an electrophoresis display medium. SOLUTION: A stimulus responsive polymer gel 223 is provided at partitions, the charged particles are transferred in such a state that the stimulus responsive polymer gel 223 is contracted when the image is switched and sedimentation of the charged particles is prevented in such a state that the stimulus responsive polymer gel 223 of the partitions is swollen when the image is displayed.
