PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel that is advantageous for effectively restraining the sound of collision between lens frames without hindering movement of the lens frames, and to provide an imaging apparatus. SOLUTION: When a movable lens frame 32 approaches a first fixed lens frame 22 at high speed and consequently a first abutting projection part 3210 abuts on the abutment part 6004 of a spring plate 60, the spring plate 60 is deflected and deformed in the direction of its thickness (the direction of the optical axis). When the spring plate 60 is deformed beyond an empty space between the spring plate 60 and a block 70 thereafter, the rear face of the middle part 6006 of the spring plate 60 presses the surface of the block 70 and compresses the block 70 in the direction of its thickness. This decreases a speed at which a movable lens 30 and the movable lens frame 32 approach a first fixed lens 20 and the first fixed lens frame 22. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
