PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a composite particle in which the surface of a core particle is covered with particles having uniform particle size smaller than that of the core particle, without deforming the surface of the core particle into rugged shape and crushing the plate-like core particle. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the composite particle, in which the particles (B) are regularly arranged on one part or the whole of the surface of the particle (A) via an organic compound, comprises the following process; the surface of the particle (A) having an average particle size of 1 to 1,000μm is covered with the particles B having an average particle size of 1/5 or less of that of the particle (A) and a coefficient of variation of 50% or less according to a dry operation via the organic compound having an adhesive force of 30 to 3,000 nN.
