PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shampoo composition which has a good bubbling property and is not sticky during rinsing and after drying. SOLUTION: The shampoo composition contains (A) a polyoxyalkylene alkyl ether sulfate or its salt represented by formula (1): R<SP>1</SP>O-(AO)<SB>n</SB>-SO<SB>3</SB>M (wherein R<SP>1</SP>is an alkyl or alkenyl group; AO is an oxyalkylene group; n is the average addition number of moles of the oxyakylene group; M is a hydrogen atom, an alkali or alkaline earth metal, an alkanolamine, or ammonium; and when the addition number of moles of an adduct exhibiting the maximum is m, m is 2 or more and the ratio of the sum of the adduct having an additional number of moles of m±1 is at least 40 mass% of the total adduct), (B) a polymer having a wt. average mol. wt. of 5,000 or more, (C) an amphoteric surfactant, and (D) a nonionic surfactant.
