<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem on impairing of accuracy due to thermal effect when a drum of a clutch or the like and a prescribed rotating element (ring gear) of a planetary gear are connected by welding. <P>SOLUTION: A collar portion 25c of a drum member 25 and an outside diameter portion 26b of a base member 26 are fixed by press fitting. A fitting face 26 has press-fitting dimension of axial both end portions 26d<SB>1</SB>, 26d<SB>3</SB>and has a recessed portion 26d<SB>2</SB>of a small diameter at its central portion. A connecting portion 26e of the base member and a ring gear R1 are engaged with each other through a spline, and locked by a snap ring 28.
