PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a waterproofing layer uniformly without unevenness in a plate for building comprising using a fiberboard as a substrate and forming a waterproofing layer on the front face thereof. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a plate 1 for building comprises sequentially laminating a waterproofing layer 4, a rugged layer 7 and a lightweight cement layer 5 on the front face of a substrate 2 formed from a fiberboard, wherein a water liquid is applied to the substrate front face as a preparatory treatment agent to form a pretreatment layer 3 before forming the waterproofing layer, thereby the water repellency of the fiberboard is suppressed. The pretreatment agent is applied and made to penetrate by pressing against the surface of the substrate to form the pretreatment layer. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
