PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel method of evaluation capable of numerically evaluating various properties of the skin such as the degree of strain, direction of strain, moisture, stickiness, sheen, smoothness, and tension, in addition to the resilience, softness and looseness. SOLUTION: The change of the surface of the skin caused by external force in a short period of time is photographed by a high-speed camera and the change of the state of the skin surface appearing in the image taken by the camera is image-processed, which is analyzed to evaluate the properties of the skin.
