<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collision object protection device capable of certainly preventing deviation of an air bag inflated/deployed on an upper surface of a front pillar. <P>SOLUTION: In the collision object protection device provided with the air bag 10 inflated/deployed on the upper surface of the vehicle when collision to a vehicle is detected or forecasted. The air bag 10 is a cylindrical bag body and in the air bag, a body part 11 inflated/deployed along a lower part of a windshield of the vehicle; and a pair of pillar parts 12, 12 bent from both ends of the body parts 11 and inflated/deployed along the front pillar of the vehicle are formed. In the pillar part 12, a strap 13 (elongation reduction means) resistant to elongation in a longitudinal direction generated on an outer surface part 12a when the pillar part 12 is inflated/deployed is provided on the outer surface part 12a becoming an outer side in a vehicle width direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
