PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a get-in/-out device for a vehicle capable of compacting the size of the whole device construction to enhance the easiness in mounting under a vehicle floor and improving the appearance by making difficult to be viewed from outside in the condition that its movable step is retracted. SOLUTION: The get-in/-out device S for the vehicle is equipped with the movable step 50, a spreadable storage part 30 to move the movable step 50, and a drive part 20, wherein the storage part 30 is furnished with an arm 46 with one end coupled with the movable step 50 in such a way as rotatable round a shaft 47 and a driving means coupled with the arm shaft 43 extending from the other end of the arm 46 approximately in the vertical direction, and the driving means is arranged capable of moving the movable step 50 between the retraction position and the spread position by moving the arm 46 with the driving force given by the drive part 20 in the vertical direction and also rotating round the arm shaft 43 to put it in a horizontal movement.
