PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire engine which can constantly accurately and highly efficiently mix an extinguishant with water at a prescribed mixing rate. SOLUTION: This fire engine is provided with a water pump 54 supplying water as a main component of the fire extinguishing liquid, and an extinguishant pump 56 mixing the extinguishant with the water. The extinguishant is previously stored in an extinguishant tank 40. The extinguishant pump 56 is a diaphragm pump and driven by a hydraulic pump 63. The rotation speed of the hydraulic pump 63 is adjusted by a flow control valve 72. The flow control valve 72 is controlled by a control device 53. The control device 53 controls the flow control valve 72 based on the flow rate of the fire extinguishing liquid and the rotation speed of the hydraulic pump 63 so as to mix the extinguishant with water at the prescribed rate.
