<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process cartridge and an image forming apparatus which can secure safety so as not to cause melting, smoking and firing of the process cartridge or the image forming apparatus by flowing of an overcurrent to a conductive film. <P>SOLUTION: The process cartridge is provided with; an image carrier 28 facing a transfer device 36; a conductive developer scatter preventing part 81 which is arranged on the upstream side of a position where the image carrier 28 faces the transfer device 36, in the transport direction of a paper; and a power feeding section 83 which feeds power to the developer scatter preventing part 81. In addition, the process cartridge is provided with a safety switch 80 for cutting off the feeding of the power to the developer scatter preventing part 81, when an excessive current flows in the developer scatter preventing part 81. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
