PORTABLE OPTICAL TRANSMITTER AND METHOD FOR EMITTING LIGHT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable optical transmitter for transmitting a video image, voice and data over several meters to dozens of meters.

SOLUTION: The portable optical transmitter comprises: a section for recording data to be transmitted; a switch for starting transmission of the data to be transmitted; and a section emitting guide light for confirming the irradiating position and signal light having a wavelength different from that of the guide light. The light output section emits the guide light and the signal light such that they are close to each other at the light receiving section of the optical transmitter and a part or all of the signal light forms such an irradiation pattern as separated from the visible light spatially.
