<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the phenomenon (void) that the density of the trailing end of a low density area decreases when a high density area follows the low density area, which occurs when the direction of rotation of a sleeve is normal, without degrading image quality in an image forming apparatususing a dark toner and a light toner. <P>SOLUTION: The direction of rotation of the developing sleeve of a developing unit using the dark toner and that of the developing sleeve of a developing unit using the light toner are made different from each other with respect to the direction of rotation of a drum in the area of development. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
