PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method which allows production of organic silver salt particles for a silver salt photothermographic dry imaging material having a monodisperse particle size distribution of the organic silver salt particles, less liable to generate fog and excellent in suitability to coating, and also to provide a silver salt photothermographic dry imaging material using the organic silver salt particles. SOLUTION: In the method for producing organic silver salt particles, a silver ion-containing solution and an alkali metal salt solution of organic acid or suspension are mixed using a static mixer by feeding the solutions under control so that the ratio of the number of moles of the alkali metal salt of organic acid to the number of moles of silver ions (mole number of alkaline metal salt of organic acid / mole number of silver ion) is kept 0.98-1.02 during mixing in the static mixer, wherein the static mixer is fabricated by connecting a mixing discharge pipe and a plurality of feed pipes so that an axis of the mixing discharge pipe and axes of the feed pipes intersect one another at one place and these axes get together at the intersection.
