PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer capacitor which can be improved in the damping characteristics, in a high-frequency band. SOLUTION: An elemental body 1 of the capacitor includes first and second electrode patterns 31 and 32 which are alternately stacked via a dielectric layer. The first electrode pattern 31 includes a first internal electrode 41, which is connected to a first and a second external electrode 21 and 22. Meanwhile, the second electrode pattern 32 includes a second internal electrode 42 and a third internal electrode 43. The second internal electrode 42 is connected to a third and a fourth external electrode 23 and 24, while the third internal electrode 43 is in the same layer as the second internal electrode 42 and is connected to either of the third or the fourth external electrodes 23 and 24, that is, the third external electrode 23.
