PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a conventional apparatus cannot cope with distortion and rotation of two dimensional digital pattern (page data), a position of a bit unit can not be specified, aberration caused by thickness, unevenness, wobbling, eccentricity, or the like become rotation, curve, distortion of data. SOLUTION: In an optical information reproducing method in which reference light for reproduction is projected to an optical information recording medium provided with an information recording layer in which information is recorded utilizing holography, reproduction light generated by projecting the reference light for reproduction is detected and information is reproduced, a signal processing circuit achieves correction of a frequency and a phase of a Y direction utilizing read out SYNC data, while information data surrounding the SYNC data also is sampled and computed, and data is generated again (S2). Re-sampling DPLL is utilized to achieve correction of a frequency and a phase of a Y direction.
