CATALYTIC COMPOSITION FOR NOX REDUCTION IN AUTOMOBILE EXHAUST GAS

A catalytic composition for nitrogen oxide reduction in vehicle exhaust gas is provided to improve nitrogen oxide removing performance in a mid temperature range of 250 to 450 Deg.C. A catalytic composition for nitrogen oxide reduction in vehicle exhaust gas is characterized in that an alumina support contains silver component of 0.1 to 10 weight% and platinum-based catalytic component of 0.0001 to 0.5 weight% with respect to the total catalytic composition. The platinum-based catalytic component is one or more selected from a group consisting of Pt, Pd, Ru, Ir and Rh.
