PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a disk player which allows an adjustment value for stable servo automatic adjustment to be quickly and surely obtained without performing servo automatic adjustment or the like again, even in the case of a much flawed or dirtied disk when being restarted. SOLUTION: The disk player includes; a flaw/dirt detection means 10a for detecting flaws and dirt on a disk 1 on the basis of an output of an optical pickup 6 scanning a surface of the rotating disk 1; a memory 12 wherein a part free from flaws and dirt on the disk 1 is stored as a proper area for servo automatic adjustment on the basis of a detection result of the flaw/dirt detection means 10a when playing back the disk 1; and servo adjustment means 10b and 11 for performing servo automatic adjustment on the basis of an output of the memory 12. The servo adjustment means 10b and 11 perform servo automatic adjustment in the proper area when restarting the disk 1 after the end of playback. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
