PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel driving mechanism which can be downsized surely. SOLUTION: The lens barrel driving mechanism is equipped with a holding frame 100 which is arranged on the rear side of a third lens frame 4 and holds the third lens frame 4, and a projection part 103 which is arranged on the rear side of the holding frame 100 further and on which the third lens frame 4 abuts with withdrawing operation. The third lens frame 4 is extended to the rear from the periphery of a third lens group 41, and has an arm part 43 provided to freely rotate around a rotary shaft 102 crossing with an optical axis direction in the holding frame 100. The arm part 43 is rotated around the rotary shaft 102 because rotational force is given by abutting on the projection part 103 with the withdrawing operation, and swings from a photographing state where the lens surface of the third lens group 41 is arranged to be nearly orthogonal to the optical axis direction in an optical path to a housing state where the lens surface of the third lens group 41 is arranged to be nearly parallel with the optical axis direction on the outside of the optical path.
