APPARATUS FOR DISCRIMINATING PHYSIOLOGICAL SAMPLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform measurements at high sensitivity, even in the case where surface deflection occurs at rotation of a support, in a physiological sample discriminating apparatus for irradiating a physiological sample with a light while rotating the support for supporting a trace amount of the physiological sample for detecting. SOLUTION: The distance between lenses is adjusted by an arm 18 so that the focus of a condensing lens 13 on the side of a light source so as to coincide with the focus of a condenser lens 20 on a detection side and fixed. The condenser lens 13 on the side of the light source is controlled by an actuator 17 by using the reflected light from the support 1 so that its focus comes to the region above a pit. The focal position of the condenser lens 20 can be controlled, at the same time so that the efficiency of detection light can be maximized and reduce the noise level contained in the detection light.
