PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply measure the rotation center of a member supported on a freely rotatable rotating body. SOLUTION: This measuring method comprises a first step for putting a peripheral surface of a first member, supported on a first rotating body into contact with a peripheral surface of a second member, supported on a second rotating body to acquire positional information on the first rotating body at contact; a second step for rotating the first member as the first rotating body rotates by 180°with its rotation center on a first rotation axis, while accompanying rotation of the second member as the second rotating body rotates by 180°with its rotation center on a second rotation axis, after the first step, and putting the peripheral surface of the first member into contact with the peripheral surface of the second member, at a position substantially coinciding with the position, where the first member has made contact with the second member in the first step to acquire positional information on the first rotating body at contact; and a third step for calculating the positional information on the first and second steps.
