PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deflection restoration cushion material having a large number of upper and lower convex surfaces continuously formed in chain in a line by intersecting and connecting two flexible strips at every predetermined interval, and a deflection restoration cushion material for a bed constituted by arranging a large number of the above cushion materials in parallel. SOLUTION: In the deflection restoration cushion material, a large number of round holes 2 are made in the center in the width direction of the two flexible strips 1 at a predetermined interval in the strip length direction, and cut grooves 3 individually communicating with the round holes 2 and extending alternately in the opposite direction to the side end of the flexible strip 1 are formed in each of the flexible strip 1. The grooves 3 are fitted with each other to the circumference of the round holes 2 to cross with each other at every predetermined interval, and then the strips 1 are deflected outward to form a convex strip continuously-formed body 8 having a large number of convex surfaces 7. The convex strip continuously-formed body 8 is prevented from expanding by a lock section installed in a support wire rod passed through each round hole 2 in each desired area, thereby each convex surface 7 is individually retained in shape in each desired area. The radial external force applied to these shape retaining convex surfaces can be relieved in every predetermined area by the deflection restoration elastic force of each convex surface 7 and the deflection restoring elastic force of the adjoining curved convex surface 7.
