PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a float steam trap capable of preventing a bimetal and an exhaust valve element from being damaged. SOLUTION: An inlet 4, a valve chamber 3, and an outlet 5 are formed by a valve casing formed of a body 1 and a cover 2. A valve port 11 communicating the valve chamber 3 with the outlet 5 is formed at the lower part of the valve chamber 3. A float 12 opening and closing the valve port 11 is disposed in the valve chamber 3. An exhaust valve port 18 communicating the valve chamber 3 with the outlet 5 is formed at the upper part of the valve chamber 3. A holding member 19 is secured to the upper part of the valve chamber 3. A curved bimetal 21 having the exhaust valve element 22 at its center is disposed between the exhaust valve port 18 and the holding member 19. A stopper 25 restricting the vertical movement of the curved bimetal 21 by abutting on the outer peripheral edge upper surface of the curved bimetal 21 is installed at the upper part of the curved bimetal 21. An elastic member 26 formed of a coil spring energizing the curved bimetal 21 in the direction of the exhaust valve port 18 is disposed between the curved bimetal 21 and the holding member 16.
