PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film thickness measuring system and a film thickness measuring method for a sheet type optical laminate, capable of reliably and accurately measuring film thickness of the optical laminate by preventing vibration of the sheet type optical laminate. SOLUTION: In this film thickness measuring system 1, a coherent light measuring device 10 which irradiates light to the optical laminate 2 and measures the coherent light while the scanning in the vertical direction for a running direction of the optical laminate 2 is arranged between a first rotation roll 3 and a second rotation roll 4. Cover plates 11 and 12 are installed on upper and lower sides of the optical laminate 2 which extends between the first rotation roll 3 and the second rotation roll 4. An opening part 16 is formed in the central part of the cover plates 11 and 12 so that it may not disturb measurement of the coherent light measuring device 10. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
