The adjustable ocular assembly (1) for an endoscope has an ocular carrier (4) supporting the ocular (3) with a coupling (5) to receive the ocular carrier. The ocular is axially movable in the carrier and can be positionally fixed. The ocular is not screw fixed in the carrier. The ocular carrier can be adjustable transversely of the longitudinal axis in the coupling.
