The method involves determining two horizontal orientation values of a measuring device by using a biaxial-oil compensator, and transferring the orientation values to a data processing device e.g. microprocessor. The orientation values are processed in adjustment directions for an adjustable foot screws (6a`, 6b`,6c`) for vertical adjustment of the measuring device. The foot screws are adjusted according to the directions. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a measuring device e.g. geodetic measuring device (2) a computer program product for a method for leveling a measuring device. |
