Provided is a detergent composition for hands used in a kitchen which is mild to the skin and ca remove effectively the odor, contamination or bacteria of hands due to cooking or dish washing. The composition comprises 0.05-5 wt% of a quaternary ammonium cationic surfactant represented by the formula 1; 0.5-10 wt% of at least one organic acid selected from the group consisting of citric acid, malic acid, succinic acid, tartaric acid, sorbic acid, benzoic acid, salicylic acid, dimethylbenzoic acid, ethylbenzoic acid and dihydroxybenzoic acid, or its salt; 1-50 wt% of an alkyl ether sulfate anionic surfactant; and the balance of water, wherein R1 is a C12-C18 linear or branched alkyl, alkenyl or alkylalkenyl group; R2 and R3 are independently a C1-C3 alkyl group; R4 is (CH2CHOHCH2O)nH; n is an integer of 1-10; and X is an anion selected from Cl, I, Br, methyl sulfate, ethyl sulfate and sulfate. |
