A fluid conduit connector apparatus (10), which is adapted for use in a pneumatic system, comprises a connector (12) including a port portion (16) having a valve (76) disposed therein. The valve (76) moves to provide a reduced fluid orifice when a fluid conduit (18) is removed from the port (16). The reduce d fluid orifice is configured to provide pneumatic characteristics as those of the apparatus (10) having the fluid conduit (18) connected to the part (16), so that uninterrupted operation of a timed pressure source having pneumatic sensing capabilty is facilitated.
