An ejection apparatus, a material coating method, a method for manufacturing a color filter substrate, a method for manufacturing an electroluminescence display device, and a method for manufacturing a plasma display device are provided to prolong lifetime of a head by reducing the consumption of the head in one ejection process. In an ejection device for coating a liquid material on an ejected part of a base substrate, a stage is used for mounting the base substrate. A head(114) has a plurality of ejection nozzles, and each nozzle belongs to one of a first nozzle group and a second nozzle group adjacently toward an X direction. A scanning part moves at least one of the stage and the head toward a Y direction during a first scanning period or a second scanning period. Each ejection nozzle of the first nozzle group is located within an ejection range according to the X direction of the ejected part over the first scanning period. Each ejection nozzle of the second nozzle group is located out of the ejection range over the first scanning period. The scanning part moves at least one of the stage and the head toward the X axis direction in order for each ejection nozzle of the second nozzle group to be located within the ejection nozzle between the first scanning period and the second scanning period, and the head ejects the liquid material to the ejected part from the ejection nozzle of the first nozzle group during the first scanning period. The head ejects the liquid material to the ejected part from the ejection nozzle of the second nozzle group, during the second scanning period.
