A vehicle ( 1 ) includes a chassis ( 2 ) which has a steering assembly ( 3 ) at one end and at least one wheel at the other end. The steering assembly includes a pair of steering wheels ( 4 a , 4 b) and an interconnecting steering carriage ( 4 ) for turning the wheels about a steering or turning axis (ZZ'). An extensible cylinder ( 6 ) is connected between the chassis and the steering linkage for rotating it about a transverse axis (YY') which, in turn, inclines the steering axis (ZZ'). Preferably, the extensible cylinder is controlled in accordance with the speed of the vehicle.
