The system comprises a means capable of simultaneously detecting multiple vehicles in front and generating a control sequence for each detected vehicle. These control sequences are compared with the most restrictive control sequence and at least one control signal based on the chosen control sequence is then sent to the engine and/or brakes in order to control vehicle speed accordingly.
