A receiver for a base transceiver station and a method for adjusting traffic by using the same are provided to achieve circuitry simplification as an RSSI detection circuit is not required additionally and to adjust the Tx power of a terminal rapidly and efficiently as a look-up table for signal distortion compensation is not used. A receiver for a base transceiver station consists of an RF signal processing part(100), a mixer(200), an IF signal processing part(300), an A/D converter(400), a logical circuit part(500), and a data transmission processing part(600). The RF signal processing part(100) amplifies and filters a terminal's Tx power signal received through an antenna. The mixer(200) converts the RF signal, outputted from the RF signal processing part(100), into an IF signal through frequency down processing. The IF signal processing part(300) amplifies and filters the converted IF signal. The A/D converter(400) converts the amplified and filtered IF signal into a digital signal. The logical circuit part(500) receives the converted digital signal, compares an amplified signal with a target value, and generates a gain adjustment control signal to adjust the increase and decrease of the gain rate. The data transmission processing part(600) instantaneously transmits the gain adjustment control signal to a demodulator(700) so as to adjust the traffic of the base station through power adjustment for the terminal. |
