A digital TV and a channel change method thereof are provided to compare the received DCC(Directed Channel Change) information with the set DCC related setting information, thereby changing the channel according to the channel information. When a DCC setting function is inputted through a user selection member(S10), a control member controls a UI(User Interface) producing member so that a UI menu is produced. The produced UI menu is mixed with the program of the tuned channel at an image signal mixing member and is displayed on a display member(S11). When DCC user information is inputted through the UI menu(S12), the control member stores the inputted user information in a memory(S13). When the DCCT information is included into the received PSIP(Program and System Information Protocol) information, the control member parses the DCCT information(S15) and compares the parsed DCCT information with the corresponding DCCT information(S16). When both information is coincided with each other(S17), the channel is changed according to the DCCT information(S18).
