A method for providing a history menu in a mobile communication terminal is provided to automatically register an executed program to an item of a history menu if a user executes an arbitrary program installed in the mobile communication terminal, thereby enabling the user to conveniently execute a program recently executed when executing it again. A method for providing a history menu in a mobile communication terminal comprises the following steps of: receiving an arbitrary item out of bottom items in a tree structure and executing a program corresponding to the item(S17); storing a start number of the executed program to pointer n of a history menu queue after deleting a program start number registered to pointer 0 of the history menu queue and changing a pointer value of the remaining registered program start number into a value lower than a current pointer value as much as 1(S19,S21); executing a program corresponding to a checked start number after receiving a history menu display command and checking the program registered to the history menu queue(S13~S31); and repeating the second step.
