A burst recording method of an HDD(Hard Disc Drive) and an apparatus suitable for the same are provided to improve the asymmetry and distortion of a burst by removing peripheral parts of the burst by a high-frequency AC generated in a high-frequency AC generating unit independent of a recording channel circuit. A servo sector having a burst field formed as a burst recording interval and a blank interval is formed in a disc(12). A head(16) performs a recording operation in the burst field by the first recording current corresponding to burst data or the second recording current whose frequency is higher than a burst. A recording channel circuit(1020) generates the burst data corresponding to the burst. A pre-amplifier(1010) generates the first recording current corresponding to the burst data. A high-frequency AC generating unit(1010a) generates the second recording current. A controller(1040) performs a control operation so that the first recording current and the second recording current are selectively supplied to the head(16) in the burst recording interval and the blank interval.
