UNION STRUCTURE OF APPARATUS FOR PURIFYING EXHAUST GAS

A coupling structure of a separate type exhaust gas purifying apparatus for an internal combustion engine is provided to allow for ease of mounting/removal and maintenance and improve sealing properties. A ring type flange is coupled along outer surfaces of purifying apparatus cans(10) which are opposed with each other. The flange has a convex center where a gasket is vertically arranged to maintain sealing. The flange has left and right ends(22) which are extended into a flat shape from the center of the flange. The left and right ends of the flange are quickly welded to the outer surfaces of the purifying apparatus cans through an automatic welding process performed by a welding robot. A ring type clamp(40) is coupled to an outer surface of the center of the flange.
