SECURE BOOTING METHOD FOR MOBILE TERMINAL AND MOBILE TERMINAL FOR ADOPTING THE SAME

A secure booting method for a mobile terminal and a mobile terminal therefor are provided to reduce the danger of misuse by a bad user even though the portable terminal is lost or robbed, by checking security during a booting operation of the portable terminal. When a mobile terminal is booted, it is judged whether configuration information stored in a nonvolatile memory embedded in the mobile terminal is valid(21). If the configuration information is not valid, a downloader and a downloader certificate are copied from a host. The copied downloader is authenticated by using the downloader certificate and an authentication key of the mobile phone. When the authentication is completed, a program stored in the host is downloaded to the nonvolatile memory using the downloader.
