<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a proper stereoscopic video image while eliminating complicatedness in stereoscopic video image observation works to reduce fatigue of an observer. <P>SOLUTION: A stereoscopic video image display unit 6 displays a composite image for a pair of images having parallax, and allows an observer SB to see an object of interest photographed at the pair of the images in a stereoscopic vision. A line of sight information acquisition 3a acquires a line of sight information which is an information on line of sight of the observer SB who observes the image displayed by the stereoscopic video image display unit 6. A composite position calculator 4 acquires a composite position of the pair of the images in the composite image on the basis of the line of sight information. An image composite portion 5 places respectively the pair of images for the object OB of photographing interest to generate the composite image, on the basis of the composite position.
