<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high performance air cleaner while keeping an installation area small. <P>SOLUTION: In a housing 2, constituent units 25, 26 including a motor, a fan and a filter are respectively provided on an upper and a lower stages. An air suction port 8 and an air exhaustion port 6 of the upper constituent unit 25 and an air suction port 9 and an air exhaustion port 7 of the lower constituent unit 26 are provided in an manner respectively dispersed in upper and lower parts. Motors 17, 22 of the upper/lower constituent units are independently controlled according to detection output of a gas sensor 10 and a moving object detection sensor 11 for detecting human body motion. For example, the upper motor 17 is driven by the detection signal of the gas sensor 10 and the lower motor 22 is driven by the detection signal of the moving object detection sensor 11. Gaseous component and minute dust which are present abundantly in an upper space are removed by the upper constituent unit and dust stirred up from a floor by human movement is removed by the lower constituent unit respectively and effectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
