IMAGING DEVICE, IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable anybody to easily obtain a panning image whose background seems to be panned while a subject in motion is made stationary when the subject in motion is photographed. SOLUTION: A control section 32 is equipped with: a means for acquiring a plurality of successive image data from a CCD 32 in specified timing; a means for specifying main subject parts from the respective image data; a means for detecting relative shift quantities of the specified subject parts between the respective image data and the shift direction; and a means for composing the respective image data according to the shift quantities and shift direction that main subject parts overlap in the same position. Consequently, when the subject in motion is photographed, anybody can easily obtain the panning image whose background seems to be panned while the subject is made stationary without moving the camera to accurately follow up the movement of the subject.
