PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus that can continue cooperative processing well even upon an error when executing cooperative processing of jobs according to a workflow. SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus 10, which constitutes a network image processing system that comprises a plurality of networked apparatus and that executes cooperative processing of jobs by passing a workflow including the specifications of at least jobs unprocessed at each time point and their processing order, and an image to be processed, in order according to the processing order, comprises a notification part 14 for, when the processing of an assigned job is finished, sending a completion notification indicating the normal completion of the job processing to the next upstream apparatus, and a cooperation part 15 for, if such a completion notification is not received from the next downstream apparatus to which the next job is assigned in the workflow passed from the next upstream apparatus, designating another apparatus capable of processing the job assigned to the next downstream apparatus as a new downstream apparatus to continue the cooperative processing of jobs.
